What email program are you using? Chances are, you are using Outlook Express if you got the problem when upgrading IE 7. If you can print via Word, your printer is working so the problem must be in the email programs printer assignment. You may have lost the default printer in the email program. (It might be assigned to a fax printer, or similar). When you go to print in your email program, don't hit the print "button" but rather go to file > print or whatever the program has for its menu and select the print option. There it will give you an option to choose a different printer. Select the printer you use and print from there.
Also you can check to see if your printer is set to your default printer by going to Control Panel, selecting printers and right click on the printer you want as your default and select "set as default printer".

I had the same problem and then after a day I figured out how to print from my HP printer. Download from Apple the eprint ap from HP (maybe the mfg of your printer) and follow rhe directions. I now instead of opening my normal yahoo mail I open the ap and all the emails are there. Open one and it will give you option of print.
