I only have one choice of isp so can't help you their but if you switch AOL need to gie you a MAC code so that you can move ISP's. They have to give you the code within 5 days or they can be heavily fined by Ofcom.
If you don't get it tell them you will report them to Ofcom.

But a number of providers seem unwilling to give them out and let you leave. The industry regulator Ofcom has received so many complaints about this it's now made it compulsory for broadband companies to hand over your MAC code within five days of you asking for it, regardless of any ongoing payment disputes. Companies found in breach of new MAC rules can now be fined up to ten per cent of their turnover.
