iTunes won't let me back up the movie I just bought onto a blank DVD, why?

I have a blank DVD with plenty of room on it (4.7 GB) and the movie I want to burn onto it is only 1.05 GB but it won't let me for some reason. The blank DVD is a Memorex DVD+R if that makes a difference.

Itunes copy protects all music and videos you purchase and download and can only be used with itunes or an ipod.
