when working with ratio

add up ratio sum (3+7=10)

divide Total £50 / 10 = 5

5 x 3 = 15
5 x 7 = 35 therefore ratio is 15: 35

we want 3+7 parts (the ratio) so in total we want ten parts. £50 divided by 10 (the total number of parts) is £5 for one part. on the first side there is 3 parts, so one part (£5) multiplied by 3 is £15. Following this sequence, 7 multiplied by £5 is £35. This gives £15:£35

I suck in math. But I would divide 50 in 10 (so 5) and multiply by 3 (15) and by 7 (35).

answer 15:35

Confirmation would be needed but that sounds right to me!
