Okay, when I put the brakes on to stop, I can hear this noise in the back, kinda near the trunk area. It's kinda a mixture of a squeaky noise and a loud thud. Can anyone help me out with this and tell me what the problem is and how to fix it?

Thanks.

Oh yeah, I also forget to mention that my car is out of alignment also, but I will be fixing it on Monday. Could that be the reason why I hear that noise?

Sounds like either the rear brake shoes are out of adjustment or a hold down spring broke. you would have to pull of the brake drums and look at the brakes to determine the cause

If it is when you apply the brakes sitting still it is the shoes against backing plates..if while you are moving they might be not adjusted correctly

it might be the wheel cylinders hanging up.
