A starfish is an invertabrate...isnt it?

Yes, they are invertebrate animals - Echinoderms.

I don't like Starfish being called by their other name, Sea stars. Everybody knows that they aren't fish, do we really have to change their name? Sorry about the rant...

No doubt that a starfish is an invertebrate it belongs to the phylum Echinodermata - starfish and urchins and relatives - marine creatures with radial symmetry and deuterosomes which means a specific form of development. The vertebrate orders are:

bony fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals - these are the only groups with bony skeletons, although in practice I would say that cartilagenous fish (skates, rays & sharks) are normally considered in the same category.

Everything other animal is most definitely an invertebrate.

A star fish is an invertebrate. It belongs to phylum ECHINODERMATA which is the last phylum of invertebrates.they have radial symmetry & they walk with the help of tube feet with which they catch their favourite food- mollusks too..!

Yep, they have no backbone. A vertebrate has a backbone (think furry animals or fish).

they are Invertebrates,which have 5 arms arranged around a central disk.their phylum is Echinoderm-ate.their not so common name is sea stars. please watch your spelling invertebrates is with E afterT NOT A.
