Why is Rush Limbaugh called a hypocrite but Pat Kennedy isn't?

Gee, when he campaigned for office, he gave the impression of being a great flawless family man with morals,since he's been elected he drives drunk,crashes into trees,and enters rehab 2 times for coke and oxycontin..THAT ISN'T BEING A HYPOCRITE ???

Liberals hate conservatives because we have the belief that there is evil in the world and we try to stand against it. They embrace it and try to make friends with it in the name of tolerance.

Anytime a Conservative falls they scream hypocrite as if it proves they are right and we shouldn't try to stand against evil forces.

People like Heidi have never listened to Rush. They simply believe what the moonbats at Huffington Post or the evening news says about the man. Rush is extremly likeable and funny.

I didn't follow Kennedy's campaign and I don't live in his district but I question whether he promoted himself as "flawless" given that he has a very public acknowledgement of substance abuse during his teens.
I have also never heard anyone (liberals or conservatives) calling either of the people who you mention as a hypocrite for having substance issues problems... Besides, I don't take either of them seriously. One is a legislator who does not really create/initiate policy (he seems to only vote) and the other is a entertainer who only cares about people like you... I could really care less if either one of them was a hypocrite. I am surprised that it bothers you this much... but I guess everyone has their own obsessions.

Rush has a National Radio Show where he preaches morality on a daily basis. He directly contradicted his own words by his own actions. That is a hypocrite. Mr Kennedy and his Uncle Ted should not hold public office in my opinion, but the voters keep re-electing them for some reason. I would not vote for either one of them.

Rush never admitted he had a problem, but continued to have problems. Patrick Kennedy admits he has a problem and he is getting help. Rush thinks he is better than anyone in the world, Patrick sees himself as a person with an addiction.
Bill Clinton had an affair and got caught and lied. Newt Gingrich never got caught having an affair, and never had to purger himself.
Are we not all human? The difference is- are we a slick as Teflon, or does it stick like glue?
