I accidentaly got some iron fillings stuck to my magnet and i don't know how to get them off, any help?

Duct tape will do it.

try running it under some water and rubbing it, or try a bigger stronger magnet and see if it will pull them away...just a little helpful hint try keeping your magnet in a small ziplock bag, when your filings get attatched all you gotta do is turn the ziplock bag inside out to remove the magnet and the filings will come right off.

Rub them off with a rag. Use something like Terrycloth or a rag that is rough so the filings will have a tendency to stick to the rag.

Try putty or Play Dough. Smash it onto the shavings and see if they'll get stuck and pull off.
Or try silicone-put it over the shavings, rub in real good, let it dry and see if they'll peel off with the silicone.

throw it agaist a sheet rock wall very hard. the filings will fall right off because the sheet rock isn't magnetic

it was no accident. that magnet wanted those filings. and they were attracted to him too...
