Your grandma has ravens because she has some food source that attracts them. Ravens like to eat small rodents, so if she has moles, rats, mice or squirrels she can get rid of the ravens by eliminating the places that the critters they eat hide in.
The one that pecks on her door is attracted to something shiny. Ravens are notoriously famous for collecting shiny objects in their nests (so are crows, and most of the other crow family birds like bluejays). This bird may be tapping at the raven it sees reflected in a piece of glass, or at its reflection in a doorknob. It may just be trying to pick off the shiny piece to take back to its nest.

well i would say yes
the raven has always been a symbol of death in all books on symbolism and mythology. Maybe that raven can actually be The Morrigan.
The Morrigan is the great queen of the Tuatha De Danaan, the ancient irish gods whose decendants are the little people. She is a shape shifter- sometimes she is a beautiful warrior goddes and sometimes a wolf or a raven (crow). On the battlefield she is a shrieking ancient hag, leaping around the killing fields, choosing which soldiers will die.
Messangers of death have been around in many books and movies, like cold mountain, i believe and harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban.
that crow (raven) may be telling you grandmother that death is close to her.
it is eaither that or there is something in her yard that the ravens like.
so my advice is believe whatever you want to belive. maybe you can do some inside research on the ravens and see what goin on. if nothing provides a sufficient explanation of why, then maybe you may need to start getting your black dress out...

The raven has been acknowledged as a sign of death since the Middle Ages. Their are two possible reasons for this.
1. After a battles, ravens could often be seen feeding upon the dead.
2. Authorian folk lore tells of the Morrigun, a large black raven that could be seen washing the bodies of those who were to die in battle.
But don't be alarmed-- these are only myths. The ravens probably come to your grandmother's house to catch prey.

Ravens are bad omens. They are a favorite form of demons and symbols of death and dream. However, not everything is an omen, buit due to the odd actions of the ravens, Id say this is. Expect the worse.

It depends how you FEEL about them.
They are highly intelligent, jolly creatures.
When they gather someplace in large numbers, sitting on trees, hopping around the lawn, flying back and forth, croaking, sometimes even laughing, people say there's somebody there who is crazy.
A solitary one may fly over at night croaking ominously, and give you the creeps. It's a bad sign if you want it to be a bad sign. There may or may not be more going on than meets the eye. I don't care much for stuff like that. They go about their business, I go about mine.
That time when I heard the crow laugh, it was so funny: ILMAO

My mother living in Indiana saw Ravens land on her lawn, at the same time in California, her oldest son died. So yes they are omens or signs of death.

Because of its black plumage, croaking call, and diet of carrion, the Common Raven has long been considered a bird of ill omen and of interest to creators of myths and legends.

No.
Ravens are by nature curious.Something about your Grandmother's door has aroused that particular bird's curiosity.
He'll tire of it eventually.
