Okay, sunday night i have to go to my boss's party. I work as an assistant for a fashion editor and i need to have the PERFECT outfit. here are my choices. fun or polished?
fun. A black Tadashi dress with BCBG max azria heels and a black chanel clutch.
jewlery- a juicy couture chain around my neck and gold chains around my wrist.
makeup- bright red lipstick with smoky smoky eyes.
polished. a black Chanel suit with the same black Chanel clutch. For shoes i have my Marc by Marc Jacobs heels.
jewlery- Diamonds!
Makeup- Nice and natural.
Pick one pleaseee.

Is the party more of a formal event or a laid back sort of get together? You fashion sense is really nice so I doubt you can go wrong either way. If the party is a more laid back and fun go with the fun outfit, but make sure you don't go to dark on the eyes. It's a party at your boss's not clubbing with the girls.
If the party is more a formal setting definitely the polished look. It shows that you can be elegant, put together, yet still chic. And it shows your boss you are serious.
Either way I don't think you have too much to worry about, ultimately you will look great in either outfit! Good luck, have fun!

1) Ask your boss: fun or polished
2) You have a fantastic sense of style, so it's hard to go wrong.
3) I thought the fun choice sounded a little more interesting, though I'd lighten up a bit around the eyes so you don't look like a vampire.

if you are worried about what the others are wearing then ask them. also if you show up looking different then it sure makes you memerable and your boss may think its admerable to be so fashion foward and not a copying robot. i vote fun. because you also dont want to be the only non-fun one there.
also with the fun one you need to know that when you wear red lips you need to have a clean and almost neurtal eye. otherwise you will look like a vampire like that other person said.

both of the choices sound really good! u have a great sense of style! i would go w/ the "fun", tho, cause the suit is more of a work outfit.

go fun! Fun is sexy and you don't want to be known for being too serious all the time. Besides, it's a party! Enjoy yourself a little!
