i am about to buy a psp, but i am doing so to get games from the internet and play them, i dont know anything about PSP so can anyone kindly help??

-game demos: if you can't run them, you probably don't have the right PSP firmware, then I would suggest updating your PSP.
-homebrew: Homebrew is a type of PSP game that a person not working for some big company made. Unfortunately, Sony has been doing everything to make this software not runnable on a PSP. If you have a PSP firmware above 3.00, then you are basically screwed over on that situation unless you want to do the downgrade thing with an unpatched GTA Liberty City Stories which has a high chance of bricking your PSP (excuse me if that makes no sense). Basically, if you have 3.00+, I wouldn't try downgrading. If you have a firmware version under that, you can find a downgrader program on the internet. Try googling "downgrade to 1.50 PSP". You want to downgrade to PSP firmware 1.50 to play homebrew. There is still a high chance of bricking your PSP (bricking means it not working anymore), but if you really want to play that homebrew, it is totally necessary.
