Yes. they are real. i'm one. its better if i can see u in person... i'm not gonna waste my breath on u and explain the process of reading someone's mind or telling the future. I am a beginner... but here is ur description:

ur are a little bit above average looking. u have long, dark brown hair that reaches right above your butt. u have green-blue eyes that are almond shaped. ur lashes aren't that thick... but u got em. u don't usually use make up... ur not wearing any right now. ur are very very thin... and have tan skin. ur sitting in a white chair at ur white desk. ur feet are up on the desk and u just ate something.. but i can't picture what. u are short... and u have a small nose and braces. braces.... they are purple...

am i right?

Wow, well, I think this. Psychic phenomenon - telepathy or some other presense might be possible but like anything else you would probably have to breed for it for true inheiritance since it probably has never been the deciding factor in whether someone has kids or not, evolution has not picked it out as a viable trait.

So while something that MIGHT be considered extrasensory, - for instance that "vauge sense of direction" that men have or that "mothers intiution" that some claim to have. Both of which have now been so thrown into the mix that they would not be possible to enhance without direction.

As far as remote viewing and such, the CIA apparently had some success with that program back in the 1970's and 1980's (the use of a psychic to locate a NATO General taken hostage in the 1980's comes to mind).

As far as anything else, while I think psychic phenomenon are true but there are a couple of problems.

1. The BS factor is unbelievably high, for every genuinely talented person there will be hundreds maybe thousands of charletans or well-meaning hoaxers or what have you.

2. I have a friend that made several predictions/precognitive dreams which came true and were so completely bizzare at the time they were mentioned, we wrote them down. When such prediction actually happened and came true , it was accurate and was not vauge or indescriptive, however it was also not helpful.

Here's why, my friend did not say "Oh look out on the 17th", on your way home X and Y and Z and then some W is going to happen, she just said X and Y and Z and then some W is going to happen. No timestamp, no specific time to avoid X, Y or Z.

So while she was very accuate, and to this day I cannot explain how she did what she did, it was not helpful since there was no timestamp.

That's my problem with the phenomenon, I can't explain it, I think probably some very small fraction of money might be worth spending to more formally study it as a rigorous science, its no more useful than being green eyed or brown haired vs. light brown haired.

To an extent. The brain acts like a computer in that it can assess data and arrive at an answer very quickly. Unlike a computer, tho, the brain can evaluate none numerical data and arrive at an accurate conclusion in an apparent non-logical manner. Some have the ability to do this very, very quickly.
