About 2" total length is normal for pet shop varieties. 2.5 to 3 months until they are mature and another month or so will get them to full size depending on lots of factors. Tank size, type and amount of food, tank temperature and water quality all play important roles in growth rate. Unless you have a really special guppy I wouldn't expect to get over 50 cents for them, probably more like a quarter each.

i know that the babies take awhile to even grow big enough that they won't be eaten by the adults (like 1 month) and i think that guppies can go from 1-3 inches in general. my LFS said they'd take guppies back for store credit, but i think that it will be along the lines of 25-50 cents a fish.

Normally they get 2". But it takes several months. Be patient. They won't sell for much at all because guppies are so easy to breed. A store might give you 25 cents a piece, or if you are lucky you might find a buyer to give you a dollar each.

I raised a Guppie in Marine Biology...it was about 3 inches long. I'm not sure if it was the same breed as yours. I've included a website for you to look at where you can match your breed.
