What's it called when you carrying something that is dripping with water, and your mom tells you to put you hand at the bottom of the thing to catch the drops.

My old teacher from the deep South refererred to that action as a Saveabetty. Which meant Save Betty the chore of wiping the floor by preventing the drips.

I don't believe there's a specific word for cupping the bottom of a canteen or cup.
