yeah me! I just turned 41 and my daughter was 8 months old and she rocks!!! Dont let people scare you, I spent the first few months freaked out by all the statitics getting thrown around and by others who seemed so concerned. Then the genetic councelor said to me "in otherwords you have a 97% chance for a normal healthy pregnancy and baby". I immediately stopped being scared-those are great odds! Now I feel sorry for younger moms, they dont get the incredible experiences of long, detailed ultrasounds, reassuring blood testing, and doting doctors. I'm also a way better mom then I would have been 20 years ago; calmer, wiser, more financially stable and I enjoy and appreciate every moment! Relax and enjoy-pregnancy is a once in a lifetime experience and she's the best thing that ever happened to me!!!!

My best friend is 43 and just had a baby in November -after having the Tubal Reversal surg. And her little girl was a huge 10 lb happy healthy baby. My mother was also 45 when she had me.

My mother's mother was 40 when she had my mom.. she also had a second child 18 months later , my aunt , because she knew she wouldn't be around as long as many mom's and wanted my mom to have a sibling close in age.. It was an unselfish and wonderful thing my grandmother did in this ..as she died when I was 4 and my mom was in her 30 's ..My mom and her sister have had full lives and continue to this day to have homes next door to each other..congratulations!! PS ..both children were healthy and no complications..

I know several women who had perfectly healthy babies after forty. They had a hard road to get there, but they did get there. Congrats to you! :)
