There should be SOME kind of punishment!! I can't understand why people don't want this anymore. And then they wonder why kids are so bad nowadays! Most teachers I know say this is their #1 problem. They can't teach for having to deal with the bad kids. And they have to 'deal' with them because they can't 'punish' them. Kids know this, they know they will not be punished so they will keep on being bad.

Even if schools DO start using punishment, most parents will be against it and say the school better NOT punish my child.

But the problem is, the parents don't punish the kids themselves.

Boy when I was back in school you had worse punishment coming to you when you got home if you got punished at school.

No one wants to punish the kids and then wonder why they are so bad. Stupid...

alot of the older things and rules need brought back
there is no way to properly punish children at home any more some children need stricter punishment than others
all children should be taught to respect their elders with very few exceptions
and children now today do not respect many people including theirselves or some wouldn't act the way they do

and we wonder why Rachel l is trying to get a free GED!!!
yes. there needs to be a list of offenses, and a list of punishments...
today's children have no rules, and no respect. it seems like parents don't want to treat their children as they were treated...having limits, respect, rules, and consequences..
cutting class, talking back, and incomplete assignments are just a short list of things that need to be addressed!!!
take a look into the prison system...they didn't follow the rules, and now have to pay for their crime the hard way...
