Personally if you don't want to wait for Tech Points, change the time on your computer!
(don't move it up more then a day or they will die)

Not that I have seen so far. I remember when Fish Tycoon came out, eventually someone gave out a saved game with tons of money. Maybe someone will do this with VV2 with tech points.
As for the time cheat. I would be very careful using the time cheat if you have crops. I used it too much and ended up being 3000+ minutes till the next crop of food.
I suggest moving it only an hour at a time if you use the cheat, but don't use too much of it on any one single day.
I don't know of any real cheats yet. There are lots of sites with info on each of the puzzles, but so far I haven't found any cheats at all. The original didn't have many either. I think they like making it hard or something.
