You'll know! It's severe pain that doesn't go away and you will feel dizzy......I know, it happened to me. All the dr's can do is put cold pacs on it and perhaps a sheath over it to protect it. It takes about 4 to 6 weeks to heal completely......although, if it's truly broken, any bump to it will hurt quite a bit.

first of all, you'd know if your nose was broken, cuz it hurts horribly, plus it would look bruised and swollen... doctors can do something for it, all you have to do is go to ER and the doctor will put it back on place, and it takes about a month to heal completely, but after it's back in it's position, you'll feel a lot better!

You might have black eyes... Your nose might be bleeding.. Very swollen and discolored.. Unless it's out of line a doctor can't do anything for it...If it is out of line they can straighten it back up.. Takes about 6 weeks to heal, just like any other broken bone.

Xrays will confirm the diagnosis. If the nose is malaligned, the doctors usually will try to reduce the fracture. How they do it is too complicated to discuss here. takes about 3-6 weeks healing period.
