The congress voted on the use of force in Iraq based on the intelligence report that the Bush administration picked from several sources. The search for weapons before our invasion turned up nothing as did the search after the fall of Hussein. Bush gave Hussein 2 days to step down or be invaded. He could have waited for further searches for WMD and prevented this war. Once he had the authority, he used it.
Reports from several agencies should have been presented to Congress before the vote. Anybody who has followed any history at all of Saddam Hussein would be aware that this man did not align himself with any other country or terrorist organization. He killed anybody who tried to infringe on his dictatorship.
After 911 there was a panic in our government arising from the horrendous responsibility of trying to prevent further attacks against the U.S. and the fear of being blamed in case we were attacked again. Not to mention the fact that anthrax was in their mail. This panic led to many mistakes being made. What would the consequences be if Hussein really did have nukes? Which way would you have voted in their position? Hind sight is better than foresight.

They don't want you to know that. Remember in an election year based on polls, there will be more concerted effort on finger pointing from the left, rather than accepting responsibility or trying to fix anything, Proof again KSM, any good news out of Iraq will be twisted back to the blame game.
Another case in point is the political posturing with the non binding resolutions which even the Washington Post has pointed out is all about votes than political fixes that are for the benefit of the US.

"I voted for this war...before I was against it...."
Oh, thank you John Herman Munster Kerry...... You are like a tuna flopping on the deck.
Our President AND Congress acted on the same intelligence information received from several nations that there were WMD's in Iraq... So, why not blame Russia, France, England and Germany? They also provided intellegence they were there.
Lib-tards.
