I'm confused. Im a middle schooler and the clothes, me and my friends and everyone around me at school wears i am seeing similar in small children clothes.I've seen 8 year olds wear A&F and Holllister, and toddlers wear converse and other shoes i wear. I overheard a conversation one time about a 2nd teacher. She said some of her students are wearing bras- what the heck with that. Isn't there some pleasure of becoming a teen, and why cant the younger ones enjoy there time as a kid. They don't know how lucky they are!!!!

I know exactly what you mean, I remember going to a highschool football game last year seeing all the elementary kids standing around and talking behind the stands like the older kids and wearing abercrombie kids stuff and carrying coach.. What happened? I remember not even knowing what A&F was in 4th grade. I never really wore it because I wasn't into it, but apparently thoses they are. lol I remember my brother's friend's little sister wanted to go into Victoria's secret :]. The kids don't need bras, maybe a training bra, but they still enjoy the small outline of the clothing barely seen through t-shirts. I'm actually glad I didn't live with that around me.

It's not the kids, it's the parents. Children don't care what the label says - and if they do, it's because they have been taught by the parents. Personally, I can't stand seeing little girls wearing clothes which sexualise them before their time - you see little tots wearing tiny bikinis, high heels and t shirts with slogans like "hot chick" or "babe". It's almost asking for dirty old men to get a kick out of them - hey, look at my sexy five year old. My daughter is six and beautiful - she doesn't need to look like a mini-adolescent to look cute. I don't want her to be a teenage until she's in her teens...shock horror gasp.

i know what you mean. when i was small i always used to wear those clothes. like i live in a city thats only 30 minutes from america, and have the grade 5's go shopping at hollister. its so innapropriate. but they probably want to grow older fast. i mean first only adults wore these clothes, now teens, its ganna come to kids sooner or later. but i think that you shouldn't worry. and as for the "bra" thing, they probably are either devloping, or they want boobs like older kids do.

I'm in 7 grade(in middle school too) and i no exactly what you are talking about! I just started wearing hollister and abercrombie and fitch like 1 or 2 years ago. Then the other day i walked to my old elamentary school adn all these girls are wearing hollister/uggs/a&f/juicy couture/i was like are oyu kidding me and they all think they are us. Then because htey wear those clothes, they are rude to you.

OMG I KNOW my cousin when it was during christmas time, she wanted an iPod and then at her birthday she was listening to her dads ipod and trying to look 'cool' and then me and my cousin took the earphone and it was some weird song and we asked what it was and shes like i dont know -.-

And when she came to my house, she was wearing an Abercrombie shirt and was like "Dont i look like a grown up?" o_o dude whats up with that.

And she saw me putting on lipgloss and then she bought the exact same thing.

Little kids are getting influenced to become older. Thats why girls are getting their periods earlier and learn about sex earlier too! And i DONT like being a teen anymore because now i have responsiblilities and i recently started my period and it SUCKKS.

I am in college and I don't get why a lot of the parents but their kids outfits like this. It is bad and yes that goes for your age as well. You are so consumed in how you look in your outfits instead of being worried about our grades. You think it is easy now but when you get older you will think different and be so consumed in your studies that you will toss on some sweats and head out the door.

I think a lot depends on the family situations these small children are in. If they have older siblings then it is likely they will try to imitate them. Also, The parents need to take some blame for this...after all, they are the ones buying the clothes!

well sometimes its not the older ppl they lookup to or the brands sometimes the parents influence it like if the mom wears very riskay clothes and all the exspensive brands and stuff the lil ones will start to like it and always have to have it or it can just be if some lil grl at school has alll these designer stuff they'll all need to have it to be "cool" or just to fit in i def agree with wht ur trying to say

lucky me. i got to wear branded stuff when i was kid. actually i still do...
but have you thought about the fact that maybe it's the PARENTS getting the stuff for them? i mean they're kids. they don't care what kind of clothes they wear as long as they put on something. lol. and about the bras.. maybe it's the food. kids develop waaay to fast these days.
