i would say we do.
our ability to laugh at ourselves as well as others is really the best thing.....but then we have a lot of adversity to laugh in the face of.

Without a doubt The British have the best sense of humour in the world, so much so that we don't need canned laughter in our sitcoms.

We have the best sense of humour in the world, it's not because I'm British I'm saying this, it's because it's true.
I love comedy shows and stand up and nothing really does come close to British shows, there is such a range of comedy and some of it very subtle that a non-brit wouldn't get.

Like you said, I think that they have a very dry but almost funny sense of humor. But you can't judge a whole nations state of mind or how they think. Maybe some of them have a good sense of humor. =) Good Luck!
