IQ stands for intellegence quotient. Eveyone has an IQ, but some are lower than others. IQs are mesured in numbers; the higher the number the smarter the person.

For a more serious measurement you should consider taking Paul Cooijman's tests. His tests are widely accepted in the high IQ community. I am one of his highest scoring testees. I scored IQ 177 (16SD) on LIMIT, which is the highest recorded score on that test. Childhood scores are not comparable with adult deviation IQ's. I am age 20.

an iq is basically a rough estimate of how smart you are. You always have an iq, but to find out what it is, you have to go get tested.

Its an "intelligence quotient". you don't 'get one', you already has one, everybody has one, but you have to take a government test to figure out what it is. Mine is 143. That means I am at genius level. I think after 132 it is genius level.
