You should certainly take steps to stop the bullying. I'm wondering if this is in the workplace, or in your personal life. In the UK last year, a woman was ordered to pay her daughter-in-law £35,000 in compensation for subjecting her to 4 months of bullying and harrassment! The younger woman used the 1997 Protection from Harassment Act to take her to court (link to story below). If, however, it's in the workplace, do visit the second link, which is a Government site for advice. This is their opening paragraph: 'You shouldn't have to put up with bullying at work. Read about what bullying is and how to tell if you're being bullied, and details of what you can do to stop it.' (I'm assuming that you're in the UK).

Yes, there are laws established to protest "victims". I would make a call to local authorities and begin a journal of sorts, documenting all the abusive actions you have had inflicted upon you. From the point of the call, I really don't think past history, if there is no record of it would count, it would be like your word against theirs with no proof. Your local library should have a book or video on the topic.
Karma has a way of "getting even" what goes around comes around. I don't mean you will be a better person for having to endure this but you will for sure be stronger and more wise. Good luck

I dont specialize in criminal law, but at times it does bleed over into my civil practice. The easiest way to handle this is file a protective order or restraining order. They are the same thing, but different jurisdictions go by different names. Then if the person tries to bully you, simply call the police and have them picked up for violating the order. Typically the person will not look at more than a day in jail, but fines and community service hours will probably get their attention. Make somebody pay money or do volunteer work whenever they feel like bothering you and Im sure they will eventually get the picture and go away.

You could get a restraining order against the bully!
Then stay as far away from this person as possible! End all contact and dont look back and advise anyone else involved to do the same and dont feel guilty if they dont have the good sense to stay away from this person as well.

yes there's a law against bullying. if its an employer report it to office of fair trading who will advise you.
if ts a partner, walk away or put them out. if its just someone outside, send me their details and I'll put the squeeze on them. you don't have to hurt someone to make them afraid. the only thing worse than getting a kicking, is knowing your going to get a kicking.
good luck

Before you WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE POLICE, make sure you have a witness or 2 who will verify your statement.I had a guy come to my house because he said I owed him money for fixing my car (which he didn't do) I called the police and told them the story before the guy showed up and asked them to come to my house, an hour later the guy showed up, the police didn't, he shoved me so I slapped him around, he went to the police and they arrested me. Like I said, have witnesses or lots of doughnuts before you call the police. Most importantly remember this bullies ALWAYS get whats coming to them sooner or later. good luck.

i think it depends on the state you live in. but alot of schools are implementing "bully laws". see if your school has this sort of thing.and weather it does or not, turn him in to the teachers and principle. but before you do.........wait untill he isn't expecting it,and hit him on the side of his head with a really tight fist.(haymaker) this should knock him to his knees.and when he goes down....stand on top of him and tell him how you really feel,9 chances out of 10... he's nothing more than a big *****.

You can file for a restraining order. There are stalking laws in many states as well.
