That was a myth busted on snopes. Read about it, they explain how the government had only one thing to do with the movie, giving the license to film. So next time, dont fall victim to stuff so easily. It is true that the Iranian government believes it portrays them but thats like saying Bruce Willis in die hard depicts all cops

The movie is an adaptation of a graphic novel, and sticks pretty close to the elements of the story. Do you really think the US government is involved in writing comic books?

Urban legend. It is sad that the iranian people are being led to think that a MOVIE is part of a conspiracy against them. Just plain sad.
