Seems the only way that they can prove their main stream ideology is to "kick butt" and ask questions later type of attitude without thinking about the consequences. I wonder why you will never find Republicans doing anything like in the below link:

Independent lets not forget that Dubya rushed to war and had the military on the borders ready to invade even before he went to the UN. He was in no way ready to pray to Jesus. I think now he is but for a different reason.

First of all the question is baseless and without merit. It is just the question of a reactionist looking for a reaction. This is the libs way of diverting peoples attention away from the fact that the libs refuse to do anything but raise taxes. Well no one enjoys war, sorry to burst your bubble. Please try a news source other than Rosie, Leno, Letterman, Springer etc. for your info. If you want both sides of the story try Fox News. I know most libs hate the fact that any news organization has the audacity to report both sides of a story, but try it. Take the blinders off. I know you are hiding behind the protection of Al Gores Internet right now but in the outside World I bet you are the same, so keep your mouth closed and let everyone think you are a fool instead of opening it and proving them right.

I don't think any sane person enjoys war. It's a question of how active you want to be in protecting yourself, your home, your family/community/country. There are bad guys out there who want to kill us; that's a fact. So the two options are: 1. kill them first, or 2. don't kill them, and hope for the best.
Remember that it was Reagan's military buildup that bankrupted the USSR and ultimattely ended the evil totailtartianism of Communism. He got so much grief for the phrase "Evil Empire" and for being militaristic but he ended up improving the world immeasurably.
Concerning your link to the prayer story, I think that if you reflect upon it you'll realize that GW Bush himself prays often and looks to God for guidance -- so if praying for peace is your thing, you'll be glad to know that the guy in the White House is praying just as much as the protesters outside.
FOLLOW UP TO JOHN S:
Whether Bush did or didn't "rush to war" is a different topic from whether or not he prays.
Also, believing that being strong militarily in the best way to protect our country does not mean you "enjoy war." If you call the police when you see a mugger beating someone up, it doesn't mean that you "enjoy" watching a person get handcuffed and thrown in jail; it's regrettable but necessary. I think that most people would think of war that way -- as a necessary evil.

I resent your insinuation that all Republicans want is war to prove our superiority! We were the first country to put a man on the moon, youngest country existing yet still a super power....war is sometimes necessary and the Republicans have the intestinal fortitude not to take 'crap' from anyone. You might do well to remember the 3,000 innocents killed on September 11, 2001 and then ask again if we shouldn't have retaliated!

If the choices were as simple as war or peace, then simpletons like you might have a point.
Unfortunately it's not a "true/false" quiz, it's essay.
Just be glad that someone has the nuts to tackle these kind of situations head on and make hard choices. If it weren't so, you'd be asking this question in German and then being arrested for questioning authority.

Phillip has a good point. Before simple minded people place labels on others they should at least understand the label. I am a fairly conservative AMERICAN. That is the only label I will accept and yes I have fought for your right to act stupid.

Thats generalizing. If you'll notice, the approval for Iraq is very low. Its not only Democrats that disapprove, but Republicans also.
I'm sure that there were some Republicans there.
