well.. if "x" and "y" are two friends ..who have gone thru many phases ... theyhave loved each other at a point ..hated each other & well have had some touching moments as well(no kiss..caressing hair etc.)
Well both are married ..one was married initially ...and the other one got married off late.
My question is although they face awkward situation on daily basis as they live under one roof ....they are blowing hot and cold.
but... when they are friends they are soo good and no one could have better understanding ..but when they have a tiff its so bad that "x" will be amazingly sarcastic and "y" will change his/her routes so that they do not walk together in any sphere to avoid argument.
ARE they still friends??? is this friendship of any matter ??? Whats the point of such understanding if the tolerance level is so bad ???
What say?

Sounds like a lot of stress to me.Dont think I could be bothered with a friendship like that (too much high maintenance) but it depends if x and y are generally happy with the situation. If one or both are not happy then its time to move on!

Sounds like they both have a problem with communication. If this has been going on for 5 years it seems like you should have talked about these things before now. You are friends, but I'm not sure how strong the friendship really is if it is so hot and cold all the time. Sit down and talk with each other. It is the only way to resolve problems.

Well they are both adults and it seems like they are good friends. I'm sure they are still friends because all friends have tiffs. The biggest thing probably is that they live in the same house, not a lot of people can stand to live with their friends.

Why are two people who are friends and who are now married (to other people I assume) living in the same house? Find your own place to live and maybe this friendship will return to somewhat normal.

Well since they are both married to different people and haven't fooled around with each other, I would have to say they are really good friends. and they argue and fight just like if they were married. but I think they are just close friends. and some people argue like they are married and they are not.
