Yes, it is the toughest. It includes of six teams first of, more than any other league in the MLB. Second of all about every single team in that league has a chance at a playoff spot. The Cards will probably take the title but what about the other five. They all will be contending in the race for the Card. Cubs and Brewers have the best chance. With the Reds, Astros and Pirates right behind them. I think about 4 of the 6 teams will be over .500, which will be even more tough for all these teams. It’s pretty much impossible not to be bad in this division.

Nope. The AL Central and NL West are much tougher. Even the AL West is tougher, and they only have 4 teams, compared to the 6 in the NL Central.

I go as far as to consider the NL Central the weakest division in the major leagues.

Cubs - Every year, they build hype going into the season... only to have that hype completely gone by June (except in 2003, when the hype was erased by Florida in October).
Reds - Every year, it's the same story. They can put runs on the board, but they can't keep opponents from doing the same. Look for more of the same this year.
Astros - How will they survive without Andy Pettitte's arm? It's possible that Clemens rejoins them, and if he does, that instantly makes them the favorites to take the division, but even if he chooses Houston over Boston and the Yankees, he won't pitch until June.
Brewers - This is a highly-talented club, but the flip side is it's also highly prone to injuries, and they don't have enough depth to cope.
Pirates - They're too young to compete for anything other than trying to avoid the division cellar, and I hope this is the year they finally leap past the Reds and take 5th.
Cardinals - What you saw in '06 is what you can expect from the Redbirds in '07. They'll struggle to stay above .500, but they'll win the division with a shrewd deadline move, and that same move will have them in the hunt for back-to-back World Series championships (since they already won last year).

The NL Central might be tough on its inhabitants, but out-of-division foes should be able to walk all over them from April through September.

The NL Central is the toughest in the NL. I think the AL Central is the toughest in all of baseball. Take the top two teams. I believe Minnesota and Detroit will be the top two. St. Louis and Houston in the NL. I'm a Houston native, but I think the Twinkies and Tiggers are all around better than the Cards and the 'Stros. The rest of the teams in both divisions are of no importance.

i could no longer agree extra... I had the comparable concepts in mid-August whilst the NL crucial had the suitable 3 communities with the perfect checklist in the national League. it is insane how various issues are from a three hundred and sixty 5 days in the past. The NL West went from being the perfect to the least. i think of it has to do with transformations for the period of the season. keep in mind final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, the Brewers and Cardinals ruled the NL crucial the 1st 0.5 of the season, then the Cubs took over and gained the branch. i think of whilst that occurs, the communities in opposition in basic terms beat one yet another up and their archives replace into deflated. It handed off in the NL West this season with Arizona dominating the 1st 0.5 (or extra) of the season, and then the Dodgers made some key strikes.

Only because it has six teams, as opposed to the other divisions with four or five. The toughest in terms of talent is either the AL East or AL Central...but dont get me wrong all divisions are hard to win.

Umm...not really. Just one team really stands out above the rest. Otherwise, its a pretty weak division. At times, NL central has been referred to as Comedy Central.

Absolutely NOT...AL east still has NYYankees and Boston, and now the Blue Jays are there to pick any miscues by either of those two. But signing all from last year and picking up The Big Hurt, watch them Still its the AL East. Baltimore is much improved and TB Rays will win a lot more games with a very talented team.
