I think they're getting out of control. I remember when Top Gun came out when I was 12 years old. We were all SHOCKED to see Tom Cruise french kissing Kelly McGillis! Now that's nothing. And as the bar is lowered, so are the standards. Sex scenes in movies are slowly turning into soft-core ****. Before you know it your 17 year old kids will be watching hardcore **** with R-ratings that MIGHT have a decent story or plot. Not unlike the high budget porno you buy now! Not that I have anything against ****! But that's not why I go to the movies.

Some movies depict a sex scene as part of the overall story. There it comes naturally and can not be considered offensive. In the hands of unscrpulous movie makers, the same is used for titillation and the scene is awkward and offensive. Sex scenes, even as part of the overall plot, can be exhibited quite artistically without over exposure of anatomies and fewer details on the actual act. Too much details on these areas tends to turn even an otherwise good movie into sleaze. Movies depicting sex scenes should consider the effects of the same on impressionable minds. It should be restricted to decent limits.

should be cut out, sex scenes need to stay between 4 walls, not on tv or internet. that's the reason why the world is going crazy, every body does what they feel is nice or turn them on. in the beginning there are few who accept and the more it's shown or done, the more it's accepted. if this trend of everybody does what e feels keeps going on, soon norms and values will be a myth.

They are to be encouraged at all times!
At no point should a sex scene go un-shot nor should it be cut from a film by the editor!! I want more nudity, I want more violence and I want more sex. Not necessarily in that order, nor together in the same scenes I might add.

Seriously, it depends on the film. Of course as a male I enjoy a film like "Basic Instinct" (et al etc)
But its got to be in context of the film and relevant to the characters. Eg. If they shoot a sex scene and its just thrown in there to get the ***** audiences in for ticket sales- its not a good thing at all.
But if its a Bond-film or something like that or a romance film where the director isn't affraid to go there- then its as I say- to be strictly encouraged.

I like sex as much as anyone else, but am tired of seeing it in movies just to sell tickets. It shows a filmakers lack of creativity and originality.

I think they should be scrapped. The big big turn off is seeing a man naked from behind. Do these movie producers think this is interesting? Once it used to be females who had to strip, now it's also the male. Did you see the new James Bond film, why on earth did he have to strip - it was such a turn off!!!

I dunno. I feel really awkward watching them since I'm a teen. I usually change the channel or look at the floor. It's becoming more mainstream to do it though. It's really embarrassing when I'm at the movies with my mom and dad, it's so weird! It's too much for me, lol.

If you are tlkaing of regular movies & not the **** stuff, most of those scenes are beautifully shot, tempting & make you desire for it in the same way.

As long as you're an adult, it's fine. If you're a teen, it depends upon how explicit the scene is.
