because we see them do some stuff we always have dreamt that we do, so they seem so perfect, they don't do the mistakes we would have fall in if had that same job, but the real thing is they make mistakes more than we do cause we count them we don't count our mistakes because we do the same thing every day :)

not me - I dislike all celebrities of all forms.

To show how worthless they are... imagine if no movie star or pop singer or talk show host or porn star or professional athlete was ever born.
Our world would still exist exactly as it is now. They have not invented anything useful (like cars, planes, computers, I-pods, satellites, etc). They do not produce anything useful with their hands or brains (most don't have useful brains).
They don't write anything useful - they don't solve problems, they don't cure diseases, they don't make life easier for society, they don't inspire anyone - unless your goal is to be like them. I would bet that a janitor at McDonalds is more useful than Anna Nicole Smith was. If you eat at McDonalds, would you rather have a clean floor and bathroom, or have Anna Nicolel Smith on the TV in the lobby, and trip over ketchup stains on the floor??
Ok, I'm done with my tirade.

I think it depends who you ask! Celebrities are idealised. They are made out to be perfect specimens of human beings, when in fact they are people like any other. It is highly possible that they would rather know about the lives of regular people instead of celebrities. It must be a hard life to be watched all of the time. Give me anonymity any day!

I don't....I hate the Oscars and Emmys. Millionsares patting each other on the back. If you get paid 20 million dollars to do your job you damn well better do a good job.

That's a good question. I guess it's that they seem to be so perfect to us and so we idolize them. Plus there's all the drama, which is pretty lame when everyone gets all gossipy about it. EG Britney Spears.

they are popular and they have more exciting lives than we do. they are always in the news and newspapers. since when have we been in the newspaper? there is always something intresting like wat if someone was getting a devorce and then britany spears is getting one. ur not in the news or paper, but she is. its not that our lives our not exciting, we just look at it like boring lives and theirs are exciting.
