I have just replaced the mother board and all in ternal components, like the hard disk After turning on the tower it will now turn itself back off. What is the problem?

Maxtor Diamond Max-30.5 GB
Aopen AK73 Pro (A)
Nvidia Geforce 4 450
Soundblaster 24bit LIVE!.

Start basic. Unplug the all cables to the cd-rom. Turn the comp on, and see what happens. Unplug the floppy. turn the comp on see what happens repeat with as many things as you can until the computer at least will stay on. If you end up with only the most basic items, i.e. ram, cpu, video card and the computer still will not stay on pull your motherboard and make sure that the mounts that it rests on are are all aligned with screwholes on the motherboard, as you might be shorting it out. If that does not work you can clear the cmos find your motherboard manual and look for the instructions to clear the cmos. Follow those instructions, if that does not work I would try to find a spare power supply to plug into the motherboard and see if that helps. Good luck

It could be your memory not working correctly. Is there any beeps that are heard? if there is then go to the motherboards website or look in the manual for the codes. It will tell you what the problem is

It sounds like the power supply needs replacing. It is drawing more current than it can handle.

dont waste your money with it.. buy a new one, its worth your investment and if you can afford, go for mac.
