Husband will be getting back from a years deployment, would like some romantic ideas of what i can do for him once we get back to the apartment.

Let me start by saying I was in the gulf during the war of 91. I could not wait to get home, I thought about all my family every second. There were so many "firsts" I wanted to do when I got home. I didn't know what to do first. Most of the public does not know what we have gone through. It was labor day of 93 when I came home. Everyone thought it would be great to meet at the ball flats (there was a carnival in town there). Well I got to see my friends and most of my family. The day was great and I was still in my DCU'S so even the public thanked me for my service. All was well until the fireworks at dark. I totally freaked and it was not a good situation. I would recommend asking your partner what he wants to do. Please be understanding if he wants to be alone for a while. Even after the de briefing he will have a lot on his mind.We know that he loves you. just be patient. To answer your question, draw a hot bath cover the floor with flower petals and light all the candles you can fit in your bathroom play some soft music in the back round get him in the tub and nature will take over from there. please keep me posted. Sweetie,I know that you are thrill about him coming home,and I'm glad that the two of you manage to pull it through. From my own experience (navy wife here), if you have a kid let a friend or 1 of your family watch your baby for a day,then set your bedroom as the place dinner for two ,put 1 long stem rose on top of it,then buy a few candles that you can scattered around the room,(they have lots of scented candles in military exchange), have a radio or play cd that soft and romantic music, then cook his favorite meal,ad white wine for the 2 of you,(chardonnay) then make sure that you have a black and sexy dress, wear a high heels ( it drives men crazy), and from there you can take over,...just follow your heart and love him like its your first time,...............hope this help....good luck to both of you...

slowly let him decompress u follow his lead he could b ready to jump u he could b ready just to hold u close snuggle and just try to get back to a normal life my son is serving too and im a veteran tell him ty for his service once the cloud clears when hes ready a cabin in the woods far from sudden noises or treat him to a full weekend of pampering him enjoy every minute u have and dont forget to let him know how much u love him theres nothing wrong with mr bubble n a bottle of chilled wine by the tub

Trust me...anyone that has spent any time in the big sandbox is not really thinking about the romantic part of the evening, he's just looking forward to the "dessert"
