same reason Bush can lie to everyone killing 3,200 soldiers and 37,000 innocent Iraqis...he can also get us into a war that is obviously unconstitutional and people still blindly follow him..
they have money, they have power, they have connections, and they have upper echelon officials that will pardon them if they get caught.

Honey, its the whole "Money can buy anything!!" Thing.. But, this doesn't always come to pass even for the rich, I mean look at the pictures you see of all of those "Celebrities" they make fun of, on SNL!! Like, Nick Nolte, and Paris Hilton, and Mel Gibson.....There recently I'd say over the past 15-20 years been cracking down on even them for DUI's!! Look at Scha-Scha Gabor.......She slapped a cop for giving her a parking ticket, and she did go too jail for it, too!! And that was about 15 years ago.....So, the "Rich do get away with alot" but in some cases, the law doesn't care who they are, and they arrest their "but's anyway!!" You know...... Robert Downey Jr. hasn't gotten any breaks, for years when it comes to the law... So, this rule does not apply for all. However, alot of them simply get special treatment in the jail's, in which I do think is wrong, you know.. Like when O.J.Simpson murdered his own wife, and an innocent waiter!! He was locked-up in a cell all his own the whole time he was in their!!!They never once put him in "The whole Population" area, or he'd most likely be "Dead" if they had!!! So, even if they do go too jail, they do get the "Red Carpet Treatment' in jail, however!! Trust me on this one!!! Probably even "Steak!!" Instead of jail food, you know!!! Crooked Society, we live in.......Its all about the Green, you know... Speaking of the "Green" You have a "Wonderful St. Patty's Day, for me, hun!!!" And Great Question by the way!!! Smile~!!!

The rich buy their way out of trouble. Money will get you a lot in this world. It even got Arafat a Nobel Peace Prize when he was a filthy terrorist murderer.

Justice is blind. Apparently she holds the blind man's cup out though to "collect". Skews the whole system.
Those who can afford pay might get away with murder is one extreme and a wrongfully convicted underfunded person might end up on death row is the other.
