Twice a year at least. Even with the new clear coat of finish on top of the paint they still need to be wax. With waxes these days it takes almost no effort to do the job yourself.

I don't think the newer cars (last 10 years) need to be waxed, frankly. They have a different finish.

I have a 1978 that needs waxing, but my other cars (post 2000, and even post 1996) have a different finish that you don't have to do the traditional waxing on to preserve the finish.

That doesn't mean that they don't look good when you get the professionally done, but that they don't REQUIRE it like older ones did to preserve the finish.

If I'm wrong, someone let me know quick!

lol.professionally have it done every 5th car wash,if you still wash it.all that soap strips the waxes ability to keep it shining.OR you every 3 to 4 months.depending on the weather where you are.wheel it out,wax and clear wax will last a while.I use Windex in the warmer weather season instead of waxing. It keeps the wax hard and wont fade anytime soon.

I would only suggest twice a year.
Spring and Fall.
More importantly is regular washing to remove dirt, pollen, tree sap, and bird droppings.
