It is ways of stopping bad behaviour from happening - a mother would use reward intervention in order to stop her child misbehaving if they behaved they would get a reward, there is distraction which is quickly distracting that person or child from doing something they shouldn't. It can be using anything that stops that particular behaviour from happening

when you intervene to change a persons behaviour theres primary where you put things in place to prevent the behaviour happening and secondary where things come in to play to prevent behaviours escalating such as defusing or distracting, ultimatetly you can intervene physically to prevent the behaviour occuring ,but thats the last resort

Previous issues of Training Solutions have introduced
the basic principles that underpin a behavioural safety
process and have explored how this approach can assist
in identifying root causes of unsafe behaviour in the
workplace.
Behavioural Intervention is given name BI which is
now applied in a wide range of fields.
Maintaining the safety of our communities is the
paramount concern of our federal, state, and local
correctional agencies. The challenge of properly
managing these criminal populations is complex and
expensive. There are approximately:
15 million arrests a year
1.5 million people in state and federal prisons
750,000 inmates in jails
4.9 million on probation and parole
BI has provided effective, innovative, and affordable
offender management and rehabilitation solutions for 20
years to government customers in over 2,700 locations
in all 50 states and 6 countries. Each day we safely
and effectively monitor and treat over 60,000 offenders
living in our communities.
