If you want to see what it's like to be a girl, then dress-up like a girl. Tell your girlfriend about you being curious & ask her to help you dress-up like a girl from India.

well to look like a girl u atlest need to look feminine.. the face always gives that fact away. so to start with make sure that ur makeup wil b good enough ot hide signs of a beard. about the clothes either u can opt for a saree or a salwar kurta set. since ur relatively tall(for a girl) u can wear a short fitted kurta, go for a padded inners if u really want to make it look realistic. the salwar can b of churidar type or patiyala which looks both young and fashionable. if u r hair is strgt then keep it open or tie it in a pony tail, thread ur eyebrows, wax ur chest and arms, wear a small bindi. wear a lip gloss or a light lipstick in pinks or grape colour with a gloss. u wld probably need light foundation to hide tell tale signs of beard and mustc. wax ur legs too. wear a flat heeled mojri or a chappal which has a pattern on it. instead of bangles jus weara bracelet. wear matching earings but they should b tastefull not glaring. lastly but not the least b confident abt carrying ur look. and u must feel like a woman on the inside

The description given is good. Follow her advise. I would add kajal to that and liner worn a little beyond the eye lid like Cleopatra. Also light ink glossy nail paint on fingers & toes. Wear an open toe sandal with 3" heels. Some rings and a simple chain with a pendant.

Hi Joy,
In the olden days, it was common for men to wear what we would call today as "feminine clothing" (look at Victorian men), look at the clothing of Indian Kings...it is straight jacketing people and expecting all men to tow the line of today's definition of male clothing that makes some uninformed end up as gay or whatever.

Go ahead and try a fine looking male salwar, you don't need to wear a female churidhar. Try something like this http://www.aliakhan.com/corporateprofile.asp

Try a saari. Or a frock will also work, but wear something with lots of intricate design. Dark green cloth with golden design is typically indian.

You're going to need a sari. Do like Carol Burnett and see if you can find one hanging in the window. Just when you thought you've seen all the questions!!
