The human body is, believe it or not, over 70% water. Without a daily intake of water, our muscles will constrict and go into a paralysis as a result of lactic acid build up, and the gastric system will not have the essential water content to be able to flush waste products out of the digestive tract into the kidneys. Water is essential for human growth, in that it replaces fluid that is lost due to sweating, which we do all the time, even though we cannot always feel it. The human body can live for a couple of weeks without food or nourishment, but without water, we would only live a few days, as the body will begin to starve as a result of being dehydrated. Death is usually preceeded by intense cramps, diharrea, vomitting, muscular paralysis, euphoria and clouded judgement, this as a result of the body not being able to sustain the cerebral spinal fluid layer covering the brain cavity, causing intense headaches, and possible vision dificulty as a result. Water is needed to sustain us, every day, roughly between 8-10 glasses a day. As the body loses water, and the water is not replenished, digestion is compromised, proper kidney and liver function is EXTREMEMLY endangered, and death can result from toxic failure, from the kidneys not being able to poperly filter out wastes from the foods that we eat. DRINK WATER! By the way, I spent almost a year and a half in Iraq as as EMT in the Army, so I have seen what happens to soldiers who don't drink the water that they need. Hope that this helps.

without actually drinking water, of any kind.
or without having drinking water.
Anything that contains "drinking" water is made from drinkable water which would cease to exist if we lacked drinking water??? but then if plants require water to grow then wouldnt they also contain water in their fruit. So could we survive by eating lots of fruits that were high in water?
what's wrong with rain water, or the water that is gathered from tying bag on a tree, isn't that all still more drinkable than sea water.
OH evolution, maybe we could just adapt to drink sea water, so then we may aswell become land and water creatures...

Not very long. Water is an essential nutrient. Without it human life cannot survive. Water deprivation kills faster than lack of any other nutrient.

Yes, technically you can do without water, if you drink other beverages that contain water (like beer, coca cola, orange juice) or eat a lot of food that is rich in water (like tomatoes, grapes, melons, etc)
Also, people in coma can't drink or eat anything, and you could say they live without water, but they are kept on perfusions, which contain water and glucose (sugar).

What do you mean?

Can we survive without ingesting water?

or

Can we survive without water to drink?

It doesn't really matter, the answer is still no.

Given that its a requirement for most forms of life including human, the simple answer is no. Could we become self sufficient and supply and recycle our own water? In most moderate to high rainfall areas....yes

lack of water is the biggest killer in outback australia. People have no concept of how hot it gets out there and wander off after breaking down in their car, and die of dehydration
