Yup! My mom couldn't afford to buy me the *real* playhouse I wanted, so I just built my own. Of course it got ruined after the first rainstorm, but I was tired of it by then anyways. ;)

Yes... or just "liberate" boxes put out on garbage day !!

And just this summer at the age of 42, I raided the dumpster behind the furniture store to get the HUGE sheets of styrofoam (2' x 6' x 2") for my model railroad.

Yes, yes, yes.....we got the boxes, but no, didn't make forts....however, we did make "houses" inside the house....mom helped us cut "windows" and a door, etc....then we put pillows and a blanket inside, took our favorite books and a snack and went inside to play.....this was before TV and computer games....

No, though if we happened to have big boxes for any reason they were obviously turned into forts.

Yup, I built a 1 bedroom house with them & moved in after graduation.

I totally did that with my cousin. We had such a blast playing in the boxes! Thanks for reminding me of such a fun memory.

yes, i bought a cardboard and make it a house because my mother could'nt afford to buy me one...
