A doctor will do a beta hCG blood test whenever you want one, generally - there's no time period "allowable". If a suspect pregnancy is on the table, ask for one.
If you have conceived it would be very early in proceedings and at this point secondary symptoms of pregnancy like nausea, breast tenderness etc are still pretty nonspecific.
Being anxious about being pregnant or even hoping to be pregnant can cause many women to become hyper-aware of their bodies and they can and will attribute almost anything to the possibility of being pregnant.
In reality, true secondary symptoms of pregnancy usually kick in seriously at about week 5 or 6. So feeling nauseated and light headed 2 weeks ago and with your period having just fallen overdue it would be unlikely that a pregnancy would have caused this.
Home pregnancy tests are pretty accurate and if taken after your period is overdue are almost always correct.
If your period fails to show in another week, go to the doctor and get a blood test.
Best of luck.

You certainly could be pregnant. I have had 3 pregnancies and they were all different when I found out. With my first, I was three days late. Line was bright blue -def. pregnant. Number two, I took the test day I was late, light pink line, but still believed I was pregnant. Went to the dr.s light pink line, said you prob. are preg. come back in a week. A week later, light pink line again. Said I was pregnant, just how the test was going to be. #3 I found out 5 days before my period was do, bright blue line again. Ept is a great test to take, don't take a no name cheapie. My friend never found out for 6 weeks she was preg. The test never showed up?

I'm sure you could get a blood test done now. when did you take the home tests? if it's been a couple days you could do another now because it could have been too early. it sounds like you have some pregnancy symptoms, but it's hard to tell.

Those tests are very, very reliable. You are probably just late. Try not to worry about it. I know that is easier said than done, I've been there several times. I've never had a test be wrong.
