Oh! In online games. Because they are bored and can't really do that in real live. It's like asking why do people play online games. Cause they're just bored.

People meet many others on the internet that they connect with, who they never would have without the game play. They most likely never will outside the game so they enjoy a life they wont have ingame, for example, by marrying. Also, marrying in game sometimes comes with gameplay benefits, such as increased hit points and better healing powers.

Because they're bored thats just like ppl who get a gf or a bf that they'll never meet. I guess its just someone to talk to.
