are we winning the war against terrorism? What steps should be done to help capture Osama and the high ranking Al Qaida? More troops for Afghanistan where the real terrorists are? or just stick things out in Iraq?

We need to do the best we can to fight the war on terrorism without violating the Constitution. Unfortunately, that's often easier said than done. I, for one, really don't believe that people captured for waging or plotting to wage violence against the United States have the same constitutional rights as U.S. citizens. However, I do believe that they should be treated as humanely (but no coddling) as possible.

It's too early in the game to determine whether or not, we're winning the war on terrorism. I think all this vocalization about withdrawing the troops from Iraq by a specific date is good propaganda for our enemies.and rewards their patience. It's like if you or I announced to the whole wide world that we were leaving our home to go on vacation on July 4th. The thieves would just wait patiently until that date and then come in and burglarize the house.

As far as capturing Osama, that's a tough one. If he's at still alive, he's probably hiding in the mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Our best hope to get OBL into custody might be to have someone close to him "betray" him for a hefty price. Of course that person's life would be worth nothing after that unless he/she were quickly relocated somewhere else in the world.

I do think we need more troops in Afghanistan. As far as sticking things out in Iraq, we need to make their government more accountable for their own defense. When we do withdraw troops, it should be gradually amd after certain objectives are met.

Terrorism is not a country that you can attack. Terrorism is a belief that can be changed. By using torture Bush and Cheney have become the terrorists that they claim they're protecting us from.

We're not protecting ourselves here by sending all those troops overseas. I believe we should bring all of the soldiers home to protect their own families, and our country. And then we can start rebuilding the great UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
