Is it INCEST? Sylvia Brown says that every one who is in your life now has always been in your life in one way or another. So if a father sleeps with his daughter, could he use this logic of hers as a defense in court? I don't condone this action, I just wanted others opinions so I can give this person a wide variety of answers.

It's the same quasi-legal condundrum as the question: can a husband 'rape' his wife?

The answer is: of course. And it's still considered a crime.

In other words, just because there are 'reasons' or circumstances in your case, that doesn't automatically 'condone' any crime you may or may not commit. Just because the person happens to be your wife, and just because they agreed to be legally bound to you, does not, ipso facto, erase their fundamental individual right. Whatever a person's connection to you might be, in this life or another, you can't overstep or overrrule their individuality (of which this lifetime is just as intrinsic to) without consequences.

In other words, today doesn't erase yesterday, and tomorrow doesn't erase today, in either the spiritual or physical/legal world.
