So, should i sell my gamecube and some of its games to get a Wii? Or should i just replace the lazer for $30?

Sorry to hear that, but if it were me. I would trade that one in for a refurbished one. That way you would have an in store warranty. Think Ebgames.com has used/refurbished ones for $79.00 i believe

I Love my Gamecube!!I have had mine for 3 years.. if mine broke I would go over to the used gaming store and pick up a used one they are guaranteed for 90 days for sure but they last awhile longer than that and its a lot less money. The games I like are only on Gamecube and I don't like the new stuff its too 3D or too interactive. They say you can play GameCube games on Wiii but I never tried it yet.
Does it go to the mainscreen at all? mine has done that and I just blew the dust out of the cube itself and cleaned the discs.

yea the gamecube is sort of going now its time to upgrade to atleast a PS2 or Xbox or if you got the money buy a Wii if you still want to play your gamecube games. Wii would be your best choice if you like gamecube, since its backwords compatable. and its only about 200CAD and then about another 20-30CAD for the gamecube controller for the WII. and then your set. plus you would be able to get some of the fun games for the WII.

If you can afford one get a wii (Im using mine now to type this) They play gamecube games as well. The only drawback is the wii remote "eats" batteries, so you should get a battery charger if you do decide to buy a wii.

The laser is probably junk. Just get rid of it or buy a used one, but it might be time for an upgrade to a better system unless you really really like it.

Maybe a 360 or Ps3

yer well never mind there a bit old now. If you still like nintendo (i don't) you should go out and get a wii then play it for about a week or two then get board with it.
