I have my period twice a month after removing an IUD back in December. My doc wants me on birth controll pills to regulate my cycle. I havent filled the RX yet. Should I let the nature fix myself up and wait, or take the pills?

they could help to regulate your cycle, but at the same time might cause you weight gain.

I am assuming that you want to get pregnant? of course it's a personal choice but there are pros and cons, waiting it out could take awhile, on the other hand birth control pills carry risks with them. You should read up on the ones prescribed to you to help you make your decision, I have used bc to regulate my cycles before and it worked well.

Let nature fix the problem up, if you go on bc pills, when you stop taking those your cycle will be screwed up as well, it took a year for my body to go back to normal after stopping the pill. Trust me, let nature take it's course.

If your doctor recommends them, there is a reason and the gain outweighs any risks. Birth control pills do not cause you to be infertile after you stop taking them. Take the pills for a little while (a few months), then you can stop and see if your cycle has straightened itself out. Good luck!!! :)
