Morality is the backbone of humanity. A man with loose morals is no human at all. Sorry to say so but that is a fact. Especially the young should walk in the path of morality when there are so many diversions at that time. He should be courageous enough to face it and walk only in the path of morality. I have heard a proverb from Sai Baba that 'money comes and goes but morality comes and grows'. Your valour is not physical. Your valour should be from subduing the senses and mind. Those youth with morals will be the torch bearers of this country. nagarajan.

Every individual do have some moral value. We are not the judge to decide that. The time has changed and way of thinking has been changed with the technical advancement.
So it is a natural process and there is no harm in living a life as the society needs. There is a saying live in Rome as the Romans's live.

I have a value of morals in my life.
I respect moral value in my life and in wife.
All have moral value but all want to adjust as per situations. All want others to do perfect.
I can waste money. I want that my son should not waste money.

Moral Values are somethings that you are taught. You know like the ten commandments. Follow these and you can't go wrong.

To treat others with decency and compassion. Basically having caring thought for the well being of yourself and others. And not just thought...but to also carry it out and connect with others.
That last part...to "Connect with others"...is what you might be referring to it being said that young people have lower values of morals.
Kids plopped in front of the t.v....Kid t.v. programs available 24 / 7 . . . d.v.d.'s. . . . i-pods . . . computers . . . cell phones . . . text msg. . . .hand held computer games to take anywhere. . . d.v.d. players in the car to watch while traveling . . . All this and more I feel have led to people becoming emotionally detached. They don't have to personally relate to others as much one on one. . .thus they become less aware and out of touch with others emotions. . . leading to not being so compassionate or caring how they relate with others feelings...behaving less decent...Because they can just flip the cell phone closed, click off the computer, watch the t.v. instead of interacting personally, texting instead of personally talking face to face.
If a person can just "switch off" from another person by turning off cell, computer, texting etc. then they are not in the presence of the other to see the others reaction, positive or negative, as a follow up of response...thus becoming more detached, less compassionate, less caring of decency.
