My doc says it's all the same risk till 12 weeks x

Hi, unfortunately until 12 weeks the risk is about the same (like the doctor said) and it's quite high approximately 1 in 4 which is very very sad but if you are healthy and looking after yourself I'm sure it will be fine. Try not to worry (hard as it sounds) and not get to stressed out. Good luck.

I am 12 weeks pregnant and at 9 1/2 I had a scan and saw the hearbeat and all that fun stuff. I am in the same boat as you...you will still be worried about a m/c at 12 weeks. It is natural to worry, but my doctor said that once you see that heartbeat the chance of m/c drops significantly. The thing is, a lot of m/c happen before even the 9 week mark...they simply stop growing at 6 or 7 weeks and you just don't know. The fact that you just had this scan and everything looks good is great! I can't remember what size my baby was @ 9...I just remember the heartbeat was 163. I think it's normal 120-180. Good luck...you will be fine. I'll say a prayer for you...say a prayer for me...were going to be Mom's! =)

Ah the magic of the 12 week mark!!
You really shouldn't worry too much about the chances of miscarriage, you have seen the baby and all seems well, there is no reason why you are at risk of a miscarriage.
I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks, we hadn't had a scan and I had only just had a booking appointment with my midwife when I started to bleed very lightly. I went for an emergency scan over a weekend to discover that there was a 12 week pregnancy sac but it was empty, no baby. I think it is called a blighted ovum.
You have seen your little babys heart beating and you know it is not an ectopic pregnancy.
Enjoy these precious few months, don't waste time thinking of the what ifs and maybes, you will be fine!

hi not sure why your having a scan at 9 weeks when first is at 12? (UK) unless theres something wrong with you?
anyway hun no matter what anyone says anything could happen doesn't mean if you make it 12 weeks your safe, this isn't always the case hun, people can go full term and lose the baby
someone was on her last week just saying this

this is natures way of telling you something is wrong with the baby and nothing can be done hun, im NOT trying to scare you, just giving you the facts

all i can say is relax try NOT to worry enjoy your pregnancy and ,heres to you having a healthy pregnancy and baby

best of luck

The risk of miscarriage is higher in the first 12 weeks, but the first 8 weeks are actually the riskiest. According to the NHS, 80% of miscarriages happen in the first 8 weeks.

While it may be true that lots of pregnancies end in miscarriage, many more are successful than not. Think positive and 12 weeks will be here before you know it.

the risk doesnt really decrease until past the 12 week mark. women who have had previous miscarriages, like myself (lost baby at 9 weeks, 2 years ago), have a 25% chance of having another miscarriage but the majority go on to deliver healthy babies.

if this is your first pregnancy, or even if you have had previous pregnancy losses, dont stress out or worry about losing your baby. just follow the drs advice and im sure everything will be fine. it is possible to miscarry up to 20 weeks, then if the baby dies in the womb after that, it is classed as stillborn, however this is the minority who experience this.

good luck and try not to stress. im sure you will be fine.

I'm nearly 20 weeks gone and i still worry and i have had 3 scans up to now and everything is fine. I think every woman worries about the same thing all the way through their pregnancy. If the scan says everything is fine then stop worrying it not good for you or the baby.

Only three weeks to go so stop worrying! Worrying wont do you or the baby any good, and if the doctor says its all the same risk till 12 weeks then just accept that and chill.........
