Is it easier to ask forgiveness then to tell the truth?

It sure is easy to become known as untrustworthy
that way.

At least if you tell the truth, in the long run you
maintain a reputation as honest. If you do something
and then ask for forgiveness repeatedly, you
are neither honest, nor trustworthy.

it's easier to tell the truth. If I lied, than its hard to go through the whole embarrassment of being caught and having to ask for forgiveness,,so I just dont lie:)
Its not hard for me to tell the truth,learned that by being caught in a lie,THATS way worse.

If you are asking for forgiveness without telling the truth,then you are also lying about something.Then when the truth is discovered,you will find forgiveness harder to come by.Tell the truth first,and then ask for forgiveness.

Don't be bothered over such a thing. Most of us will tell untruths from time to time and never even think of asking for forgiveness. Live in the real world.

Of course it's easier. It means putting off any form of punishment and also putting off our own guilt for a little bit more. We're human; we like instant pleasures. But just because it's easier doesn't mean it's right.
