i went to check my clothe from the dryer and they were still wet so i started the dryer up again. but it did not sound quit right. so when i opened the dryer it wasnt spinning...... it was heating up . but not spining...what could this be?? is it a motor or could it be just a belt?

From what you say.....belt. If it wasnt making any noise I would go with the motor. No heat, the element. No spin the belt.

could be the motor, could be the belt. I'd try the belt first! do you recall a funny smell last time it was working? If so it's most likely the belt. If when you investigate more the belt looks ok then it's likely the motor, sorry! It may be cheaper to get a new dryer.... (I'm still saving up for mine, mine's working, but not well...)

It might be a belt or something loose in there. Hope you have it fix soon. I know I couldn't live without my washer and dryer among everything else Electronic and computer in my house.

Could be one of two problems, one which is probably the problem, you need a new belt, or it could be the sealed roller bearings....my guess is that it is the belt....

there is usually a belt drivin by a moror.you need to pull bottom or rear cover and see what is or isnt turning.belts are cheap and easy to replace.get model and serial number if you need parts.

first examine and make specific your lint catch is sparkling and then examine that the hose from the back is mentioned to the wall for the air to pass out of, if this is all sturdy then this is the heatin element, because of the fact it fairly is 4 years previous it probably has run out of time, to procure sturdy use out of it
