Group 1: Those who want the troops to come home immediately so we can begin protecting our borders and using diplomacy.

Group 2: Those who are in favor of sending more young Americans to get their limbs blown off in a very pointless war, which only succeeds in creating more violence.

group 1...we need to get out if we want to support our troops...sending them out for 3, 4, 5, or even 6 terms of service isn't showing very much support...

It's hard enough being a soldier in a war zone without hearing these arguments. I support the troops. Our government doesn't always do so-- example Walter Reed outpatient clinic scandal.

The same thing went on during Viet Nam--bring our troops home, etc. Only people were rioting and marching and demonstrating back then. Young men burned their draft cards. See that was the difference back then--we had the draft. And there's no way Bush will re-institute the draft. He's probably promised his friends that their sons won't have to go to Iraq. It's the poor and middle class whose sons will go. Someone should be marching and demonstrating.

We will be paying for this war for generations. We have other problems that need our attention now.

You and your like are contemptuous pigs!

Getting geared up for protest/ insurgency rally against the troops and America Stevo.

Group 2 is the only legal option since Group 1 is illegal due to Posse Comatitis.

Thanks for offering up such a loaded question.

It's still worth two points.

the best way to support the troops is to vote for people who won't send them into situations that everyone knows will be meaningless and endless quagmires.

those who voted for bush, especially the second time, quite simply DO NOT SUPPORT THE TROOPS.

Why don't you be honest about Group 1.
They want to run away from the evil that is out to destory this nation.
Group 1 is made up of those who spit on them call them cold blooded murders, terrorists, Nazis, and baby killers.
They believe the greatest threat is not Muslim terrorists it is to make Bush look bad. No matter how many 9/11s it would cost this nation.

Group 2 knows this is ugly mission and respect the uniform and support those guys who believe in the mission. They know retreat would spell disaster for this land.

Running away from a problem never solved anything.
Look up Chamberlin next time in history book and find out did they have "peace in their time"

Group 1 is in denial of the evil facing this nation and it isn't Bush.

I ALWAYS support American troops. I don't always support the mission they've been assigned, like the current fiasco in Iraq.

No matter what circumstances, if our troops are doing their jobs and following lawful orders from those authorized to command them, I support our troops. Your questions' options listed are biased and open to argument.

Regardless of the answer...I think we should stop using the troops as political pawns.

Gee your not biased here are you? Do you honestly in your heart logically think bringing them home before the job is done is supporting them? I have to go with #3. I do not want our military on our borders and you cannot use diplomacy with terrorist. It doesn't work.
