Hey,I am 11 yrs old and I want to know how to get into to acting.I am a guy and I have been in 1 or 2 church plays but nothing big. I live in TN but not in Nashville. (I am going to Orlando in a couple days for spring break. Could I do anything there?) HELP!!!!!

well by accidentally stepping on a shooting area and the director is by coincidence finding a right person for a missing cast. that's what i call luck .LOL

the previous answer is a good start...take acting lessons. At the same time, look up some theaters that have live plays. I'm guessing that Orlando, or another close city or town, offers live plays. Watch the newspaper in the intertainment section, to see who is putting on plays. Watch for try-outs and auditions. Definately go to these and give it your all. Sometimes scouts also go, and you might get lucky. If you get turned down, don't look at it as failure, but as a challenge to do better, so you can get the next acting position. Ask your drama teacher at school. He/She is probably very knowlegable in this category and would offer some great help to you. Take care, and Good luck!

For spring break you don't have enough time to do anything really big. Try out for some stuff at school. Then if they have youth theater in your area, go to that. Do some summer camps this summer and then do more in high school.

Volunteer, hook up with local acting clubs, ask teachers for suggestions and connections locally. It is a tough haul but you can make extra money doing commercials locally. Become involved and once relationships with people are established LET THEM KNOW what you want to do. People will be MORE than glad to help...just watch out for preditors tho. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR PARENTS INFORMED. Tell them who you talked to and what they said!!! Eventually you will find an agent who will

join an Actor training course for 12 moths or TAFE go on their website fro dramatic arts or look up in your local directory or google search
