i have a Compaq Presario and would like to know if anyone knows how to change the Resolutions on it everything

everything on the desktop is so streched out. I wanna pick how big i want everything on my desktop to be, i was able to do it on my other computer but i cant find it anywhere on this one. so please.....if anyone knows, please write. Thanks

I have the exact computer and have done the what you are having problems with.
Click START then Control panel, then Display, then Settings. Move the "Screen Size arrow" to 600 x 800 pixels and see if that helps.
